My foundation Routine

I love Bareminerls kits. They are such good value for money. All of that in the picture was £50. So that's your foundation brush, Blusher brush, concealer brush, your own shade of original foundation, warmth blusher and a primer. Original value if sold separately would be £136. This kit is the Customisable Get Started Kit. I chose this one as it has all the products I use.

So approximately 10 minuites  after applying my moisturiser and primer I start applying the foundation. Tip a little bit into the lid, swirl the brush around, tap the excess off and buff into the skin. Start from the outside and work your way to the t-zone. Start off with a small amount as this foundation really buffs well into the skin and you can build up the coverage. I love this foundation. It is my Go-to foundation. It dosn't clog up your pores, leaves a lovely luminous finish and goes on effortlessly. I feel like since I have used this my skin has improved and I have had less break outs. I would highly recommend this for anyone with acne or spot prone skin. It not going to harm your skin at all. Bare minerals quote you can sleep with it on, Even though I would never advise sleeping in your makeup but you get the point. I love the way it leaves a nice healthy glow to your skin after.

Now to use the Mineral Veil I just do the same as before but I do not need a lot and its not to cover its just to set the foundation. I also do not start from the outside I powder it over my t section as this gets the oiliest and if I was out for the night I would apply it all over for more longevity.  This veil is simply the best for me, I havn't tried many others but this one leaves my skin pore free, shine free, wrinkle free etc and my make up lasts all day even with my oily skin. No touch up required for about 9 hours. Its not at all cakey looking and again great for acne prone skin.

The last step to my routine is applying the blusher. Now you can use this as a all over colour which It actually is for, but I use it for contouring and as a blusher. Its very dark so only a small amount is needed. the same steps for applying but you just apply it like a contour. Again you can build it up for more of a deeper colour. It looks so silky on your skin  and leaves such a summer kissed glow. I have used many bronzers, Blushers and this one is my favorite. Its so nice on guys words cant even describe it.

I would strongly recommend Bare minerals for acne prone skin. seriously guys if you was to see how bad my foundation looked in my early 20s till now you would be shocked. No foundation stayed on my skin. it would clog up and go blotchy around the spots but Bare minerals just sits and stays put with no blotcheness. Even if you don't have acne this foundation routine is LOVELY.

Reviews on Dr. Jart Pore Refine Clear Away Gel

This was one of the products I received in my Birchbox. Its a exfoliater that you use once or twice a week. I cant use exfoliaters with beeds in as they are too harsh for my skin. This hasn't one beed in sight. It contains Natural Cellulose and Rosemary Extract which nourish and effectively exfoliate the skin, whilst Sage and Gall Extracts, calm irritation and tighten enlarged pores. Its free from harsh Chemicals. After one use your pores feel tightened and look smaller and you face feels like its had a deep cleanse. I'm very pleased to have come across this product as I had never heard of Dr. Jart before and this could really improve the overall texture of my skin. You should try to exfoliate twice a week. It helps the other product work better when all the dead skin is removed. Its the best for sensitive skin that goes really red if touched and for people suffering with acne as it wont iritate your acne. I'm so pleased with it so far.

Positive thought of the day

Dreams don't work unless you do.

One small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day

When you wake up in the morning instead if jumping straight on Facebook,  Twitter, instagram etc open up a positive book and read a page out of it. Or google positive quotes. It really does give you that extra boost you need to get through your day and be more positive.

A bad attitude is like a flat tyre. You can't go anywhere without changing it.

Why I started Blogging...

This isn't a "feel sorry" for me post it's just to explain why I have started my Blog.

I have suffered with acne from the age of 9. I feel bad saying suffered, when there are much more severe skin disorders, but for me I really have suffered. It knocked my confidence dramatically as a teenage girl. I never felt like I fitted in to anything. I had this voice in the back of my head saying ''everyone is looking at my spots and they are going to think I'm dirty and I don't wash, or they are going to not want to hang around with me''. I don't know if it was anxiety or just my low self esteem. All I know is it really ruined my school days.  I couldn't understand why I had such bad skin and no one in my year did.

I have tried so many skin products and some work some are a waste  of time but all the ones listed on my blog have helped my skin so much. I also had to change my diet and drink a lot of water. These can be challenging for a young girl who just wants to have fun and eat junk. It took me a long time to come to terms with the big change.

I want to share my journey with you all in the hope it will help some people out their who are going through it or have been through it. It does get better! It has taken me years to pluck up the courage to put my self out there and write a blog. I'm not the best of writers and I have no idea how it will turn out but what keeps me going is the thought that I could be helping people with their acne. I do not have perfect skin now but I do know how to keep those spots away. My next goal is getting rid of my scarring. (do NOT pick your spots) I want to be able to look back at my blog years later and see what I was doing in 2014 and what products I tried, what my diet was like and so on. It's like my own little diary in a way. It keeps me busy in my spare time ( not that I have much spare time being a mum of 2) but it is more like a hobby for me and somewhere I can put my opinions, reviews, advice and the thing I love. I have varied my posts as I love cooking and I am also a hairdresser.

Thank you to all my followers on Bloglovin, I have come across some amazing blogs. Keep going everyone. It's a lovely community and everyone is so friendly.

Don't worry, be happy.

Don't worry its a killer. Don't think about it. Write it down what ever it is and then stop worrying! Enjoy your life and that little or big thing you was worrying about all gets sorted in the end. You can spend days worrying and being unhappy but I guarantee it will only make it worse. Just snap out of it and get stuff done in the mean time. 😊

BB

This product is so nice on your skin. It gives your skin a lovely glow and it actually Covers really well. I was given a sample of this just before I went into hospital to give birth to my Harvey. I was so happy because my scarring can look a bit angry and red sometimes and who wants to be applying foundation in hospital after having your baby. So this BB cream came in so handy for me. It just put back some life into my face so when my visitors came to see me and the baby I didn't look like something from the Goosebumps. But also I have used this for days when I want to give my skin a break from foundation. It's so easy to apply like a moisturiser but looks like a foundation. I cant believe how much nicer your skin looks with it on. It also has 5 ingredients which are beneficial for your skin - Moringa Oleifera Microproteins, SPF15, Graprefruit essential oil, Mineral Pigments, Wild Pansy and Samphire Extracts.

Nandos style chicken in pitta inspiration

This is really easy and quick to make and so delicious.

All you need is:
Chicken breast
Lettuce
Pitta bread
Nandos medium sauce
Nandos lemon n herb sauce
Mayoniase

1. After washing your chicken and seasoning it with your own choice apply nandos medium sauce to the chicken and place it in a Gorge Foreman grill or a Griddle untill it's done. I usually do about 15 minutes on each side. The Gorge Foreman cooks chicken really quick.
2. Add mayoniase to your lettuce and a bit of salt n pepper.
3. Cut a slit in the pitta bread so you can open it out  place lettuce, chicken and add some lemon and herb nandos sauce for extra flavour.
It tastes sooo good 

Keep your hands hydrated this winter

I received a sample of Kiehl's hand salve and it is the best hand cream I have used so far. My hands get really dry in the winter epsecially as they are in water alot. Either I'm washing baby bottles, washing up or washing the kids lol. This cream has transformed my hands I wish I had a before and after picture. My hands look younger! Feel so soft and are less dry. I can't say I have used a better hand cream than this one. If you know any better ones comment below and let me no so I can try them too ☺ http://www.kiehls.com/Hand-Foot-Treatments/body-hand-creams,default,sc.html

Concealer for spots

This is Bare minerals blemish ready concealer. I have been using this for about 6 months now. It comes with a little brush for applying. It's very light and isn't full coverage but it really works on minimizing the appearence of spots. It dries them out and shrinks them.  One of the ingredients that helps do this is Zinc. Zinc is better taken in a supplement but is also good in skincare products. Zinc is good for cell growth. I use this on each spot over my moisturiser but under my foundation which is Bare Minerals loose powder. I have used this foundation for years and it's been so good for my skin. Anyone suffering with break outs due to acne please check out this concealer. Link below. It will cover your spot but treat it at the same time and you apply it through the day. It's perfect handbag size and £15 pound.

A little stocking filler inspiration for under £1

I have just came across a website that has stocking fillers for under £1. There are some really little cool gadgets for your kids.

 Punch ball
 Wooden spinning top
 Inflatable sword

Positive thought of the day

I choose to make the rest of my life the best of my life.

We may have made some mistakes when we were younger but life's a journey and you grow and learn from every mistake.  Don't spend the rest of your days regretting them, get up and live the rest of your life like the world is about to end. Do everything you have ever feared to do and everything you have dreamed of doing. Be happy and keep it moving. You only get one life.

Spray and Go

How good is the Vasaline spray and Go?!! I was actually quite surprised and wasn't expecting it to be so good. I started using it for the gym mainly as I wanted something quick I can apply. It smells delicious I would eat it if I could lol. It leaves your skin feeling so soft and the scent of the spray lasts all day.
You know in the mornings when your rushing around getting the kids ready and you just can't be bothered to moisturise and wait for it to dry before you can put your clothes on? Well with this spray and Go you literally don't have to wait for it to dry. How good is that? I love it so much. Mums it's a must. It leaves your skin feeling so hydrated and gives off a smooth look. I also love the fact that it just dries so quick.

Kiehls Super Multi - Corrective Eye - opening Serum

I received a sample of kiehls new eye serum about 4 weeks ago. I thought I better start using one after turning 26. I have been using it every morning and night all around the eye area.
It says you will notice a difference in your eyes after 1 week of use and it you actually do. My eyes weren't too bad before use but I do get puffy eyelids and bags. The skin around my eyes looks and feels a lot lot more hydrated and firm. As soon as you apply the serum yiur eyes feel more opened like your opening yhem up wide and the puffiness goes. The serum is good for wrinkles around the eye and alot of people have said after 4 weeks they have noticed a massive difference in their wrinkles. I'm definitely going to buy the full size product, even though I don't have wrinkles yet it's always good to start so you can help prevent them. I would highly recommended this serum for any age. The results are amazing.

Review on Jane Iredale eye lash conditioner

I received this product in my first birchbox  purchase. Iv never heard of these products before and I'm so pleased I have got to try it. This eyelash conditioner and enhancer is so good I can't believe I have never worn one before! You apply it a few seconds before your mascara. It's like a white hair conditioner but for your eyes. It makes made my mascara work so much better and my eyes lashes look so defined and much longer. Iv used it everyday so far and it is now become a necessity in my make up routine. Girls check it out! https://janeiredale.com/us/en/mineral-makeup/eyebrows-eyelashes/purelash-lash-extender-conditioner.htm

The only person who can pull me down is myself, and I'm not going to let myself pull me down anymore.

C. JoyBell C.

We all control our feelings and emotions. When we feel a bit down we are the ones that can change that and feel positive again. Don't allow yourself to be down again or kicked down by any one. Keep doing what your doing as long as it makes you happy. Keep reading positive books and learn something new. Every minuite spent being down is a minuite wasted of being happy. Have a good day ☺

Eye shadow to make your eyes look bigger

I have just purchased a new eye shadow from MAC. I wanted something I can wear in the socket of my eyes to make the colour stand out (greeny blue) and to make my eyes appear bigger. The one I purchased does just that. Its brown golden colour (texture is the name) goes so well with blue or green eyes it really makes them pop and whilst enhancing your natural eye shape and giving your eyes a nice glow. It's so so so lovley on. It was £13 pound but well worth it. I think sleek have a dupe to this colour which is also really good and alot more affordable.

Soap and glory

My go - to moisturiser has to be Soap and Glory Righteous Body Butter. It smells sooooooooooooo good and once on its like your wearing Perfume that's how strong the smell is. It isn't too sticky and drys quick which I love as a mum who doesnt have much time to get ready in the mornings. Some of the ingredients it has is almond oil, shea butter and aloe Vera.  These are all natural and makes your skin feel smooth and looks flawless. I have also tried the scrub in this range which is also brilliant.

Positive thought of the day

When you say 'I CAN' and expect success you fill your self with confidence and happiness.

If you say 'I CANT' and expect the worst your making yourself feel week and hopeless.

Be kind to yourself and believe in yourself. Every one was once a beginner. So carry on with the 'I cans' and ditch the ' I cant' You can do anything you want to. Have a nice day 😊

Positive thought of the day

That moment your about to quit is right before a miracle is about to happen. Don't give up.

You know when you have reached rock bottom. Every thing seems to be going wrong and more and more drama keeps coming your way. You sit there and think to your self 'What's the point' We have all been there at some stage whether it be work, relationships etc. The key is to carry on and don't give up! Push through the hard bit untill you see a light at the end of the tunnel. There always is one. Don't make a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life. Miracles happen when you stay focused and positive no matter how bad the situation is. Have a good day ☺

My box has arrived

So that's a run down of what I received in my birch box. I'm so excited to try all these products and I can't believe I only paid £10 for all of them. Il be doing reviews in a bout a week or so. But I have already tried the Sheer Lip Butter which is Pixi by Petra and it is absolutley perfect. It is smooth and gives you just a little hint of colour and smells nice too.

Quick and easy wavey hair style

If you want that wavy wash and go look then try plaiting your hair whilst its damp then dry the plaits with the hair drier on a medium heat.
Dont hold the drier to close to your hair as the heat is damaging. Once you feel the plaits are completely dry run the straightening irons over them by opening and closing the irons as you run down the plaits.
Then take the plaits out and apply some serum through to tame the hair. You should end up with nice loose waves almost like a messy wavy hair style like you have washed and left it. See below for a picture of the finished look.

Babies and Bedtime Routine

As you all know I have 2 beautiful babies. A boy who is 17 months and a girl who is 5 months. They have exactly 1 year between them and they are My world.

I get a lot of people asking me 'How I do it and how do I cope' and when I reply 'Its not that hard they both sleep through the night which makes it easier'.,Amazed and shocked people then ask me how? So i'm going to tell you a few tips on how I got my babies into a routine.

First things first i'm not bragging or saying i'm a perfect parent i just want to hopefully help some mums out there who are struggling with getting their kids to sleep. I would also recommend starting a routine at 4 months not earlier as the baby will need feeding through out the night. I know everyone does things different and there is no wrong or right way to do this. This is just worked for me, i'm not telling any one how to be a parent its just some tips.

Time is key to getting your little one to sleep. If you have set times in the day where you feed them and then a set time when they go to bed this works wonders. The baby gets familiar with the same routine day in and day out so when it comes to bed time they know its that time.

Let them cry! So many parents feel bad to let their little one have a good cry. Its not doing no harm people. As long as they are fed and changed and content then put them in their cot, what and leave them. They will eventually fall asleep. I no it sounds harsh but how are babies ever going to know its bed time if every time they cry mummy goes running to them. Babies are not stupid they know how to get mummies attention and i'm  telling you now half of the crying is a attention cry. If you keep going in the room picking them up fussing over them then putting them back into the cot they are just going to keep repeating the same pattern every night.

Cut down napping in the day. Try and keep your little ones active in the day and if they do nap keep it in the early after noon not too near to bed time. You want your baby tired near bed time not energised. Which brings me on to my final step and that is don't put your baby to bed on a full stomach or give them any thing sweet before bed. Try and have dinner at a set time every day as well and around the table as that's getting them used to eating around a table. Leave at least leave 2 hours before your baby goes to bed as sometimes going to sleep on a full stomach can be uncomfortable for your baby and certain foods release energy which wont help your baby settle down.

I no its hard but don't give up and grin and bare the crying. Its all worth it when 7 pm comes and you can have some me time! I really hope i have helped some of you out there.

“One of the most important keys to Success is having the discipline to do what you know you should do, even when you dont feel like doing it.” - Unknown

Yes this is very important key to being successful. Remember why you started in the first place and even if its so not where you want to be right now just keep pushing through and you will you get where you want to be. Being hard and disciplined in one are of your life makes it easier to be the same with all the other areas in your life. Whether its dieting, saving etc just stay strong and dont give up. The people that succeed the most went through the same struggle your going through today. Have a good day ;-)

Indeed labs Hydraluron

Iv been using Hydraluron for about 2 months now under all my other skincare products. Its not a moisturiser but more of a serum that increases hydration from the surface of the skin. So its working on the under layer of your skin. It has Hydrolic acid init which is good for many things but mainly smoothing out the skin and giving it moisture. It makes your skin feel a little bit tight but not dry tight if you know what i mean and instantly gives it that glowy plump look. There is a link below under my picture of the product where you can research it your self. Have any of you tried this product? What do you think?

I am a very busy mum with 2 babies and my hands are always in water doing washing up or washing babies bottles etc and i just cant wear normal nail polish no more because it only lasts 3 days and then its chipped but this little bad boy lasts me just over a week so about 10 days. It looks so shiny and perfect once on your nails like you have just had them painted professionally and it glides on so easy just 3 strokes and its done. (I always start off with a stroke in the middle then either side of the nail).  I don't even use a top coat because it just not needed which is even more of a bonus for us busy mums!

I'm loving the Red Lustre colour at the moment. Iv posted a picture sop you guys can see the finished look. Go and try it guys and let me know what you think its only £5 and when you go to any of the Models own stalls you receive a shopping basket and a freebie :-)

Lipstick that stays on for 14 hours, Yes Please!

Iv never been a massive fan of Maybelline I tend to buy more Rimmell or L'Oréal if I'm buying high street makeup, But having seen this 14 hour lipstick by Maybelline advertised on TV I had to go and check it out. Now I adore lipsticks that stay on all day but iv always found that half way through the day some of them look worn off and patchy but not this one! The  Super Stay 14 hour lipstick does actually stay on for most of the day. I wore mine from about 8 am and it was still ok around 4 pm, it did need a ree aplication around 6 pm but I would say that's good going. I brought the lipstick in Fuchsia forever a deep pink colour. The lipstick goes on smoothly and isn't shiny but isn't matte it's just in between and looks amazing! Very good for busy mums like my self that want to add a bit of colour to they're  face and it lasts!

Positive thought of the day

“Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.” ~ John Wooden

This is so true. I no some real positive people around me. They are so positive that when something bad happens to them they don't even get mad they just brush it to one side and say well it could of been worse! By reacting like this to a negative situation you are saying that it was meant to happen for a reason, you are not letting bad things stop you and keep you from carrying on! Try and learn to make the best out of every situation that is thrown at you, good or bad because what ever it is you are meant to be going through it at the time. Have a good day ☺

Must Reads

Above are some books that i would highly recommend to help be more positive. They really have had a big impact on the way i think. Of course i sometimes still think negatively but having the knowledge from these books helps snap out of it real quick.

I'm not going to waffle on about each of them because it will take me forever, you can research these on amazon. What I will say is if you start off with The Secret the others will make more sense to you. I have mentioned The Secret before in one if my blog posts. It is about The Law Of Attraction. It might sound all a bit crazy to some people but belive me it actually works with alot of practise. I hope i have inspired some of you to have a read and if you do feel free to comment below and let me know what you think. Also if you have any recommendations of good positive books let me know

'Taking the first step up the staircase is better than looking to the top trying to figure out how to get there'

Little steps to a better life and your goals is all it takes. You have to move forwards and take the first step to making changes. It might not seem like a lot or you might think but how i am going to make it to the top but trust me you will. Don't spend too much time thinking and planning just go for it. Have a good day people.

“Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.” - Norman Vincent Peale

Belive in yourself people. So many of us have these amazing ideas of what we want to do or become but yet so many of us fail because we don't have faith in ourselfs.  Iv been there and some days I still get those negative feelings of I can't do it or what if people think I'm not good or they don't like what I do. But I remember one thing and that is if I don't try I have failed! So I'd rather give it a shot and be happy knowing I have tried. Trust me people all you have to do is try! And when that negative voice pops up in the back of your mind, pick up a positive book and read a chapter from it or google some inspiring quotes to give you a boost of positivity. Hope you all have a productive good day xx

Breaky

One of my favourite breakfasts. So fulfilling and yet so healthy. Mmmm it's making my mouth water. It's so easy to make that I'm not even going to write down the method. I'm sure all of you know how to make scrambled egg on toast with smoked salmon on top and avacado on the side. This breakfast sets you until lunch time and is packed full of good fats and protein.
Remember breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you skip breakfast you are slowing down your metabolism and you might not have as much energy as you would if you ate a healthy breakfast.
Hope I have inspired some of you this morning

'Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change'
-Anonymous

I love this quote as it relates to everything i believe in and am studying 'The law of attraction' If you be more positive, positive things start to happen. If you look at life with a positive attitude then life itself will become more positive for you. Of course we still all battle our demons but facing them with the right attitude makes them easier to cope with. Have a lovely day xx

Models own lashed up volumiser mascara

http://www.modelsownit.com/products/eyes/mascaras/lashed-up-volumiser-mascara.html

Iv just finished using the Models own lashed up volumiser mascara and iv never been so pleased. I'm still trying to scrape the side of the tube lol (I havn't managed to buy a new one yet) Its simple pink packaging makes it easy to find in your makeup bag and it lasts about 3 months. It makes your lashes look super long but they don't stick together and really black looking. I found it worked better the more i used it. Any one looking to try a new mascara i would recommend this one and i have left a link to wear you can research it more above.

Positive thought of the day

'Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or loose'
Lyndon. B. Johnson

Don't spend too much time thinking about yesterday but focus more on your future and what your going to do to make it better and better everyday. Everyday you have a chance to win or loose and what i mean by that is you can be negative and achieve nothing or you can be positive and get a lot more done. A negative mind will always dwell on the past and stay there forever. keep it moving!

Kiss greasy hair goodbye!

So its time to wash your hair but is it really time? or can you leave it for a couple more days. A lot of people suffer from a greasy scalp and cant go more than 2 days with out washing your hair but this isn't actually helping your hair. The more you wash, the more you strip away hairs natural oils and nutrients it needs to be shiny and in good condition.  The less you wash your hair the less oil it will produce so eventually will be less greasy.

Its all about training your hair and skipping washes. It will be hard at first and you wont notice a difference straight away. Start washing it every 3 days then 4 then 5, do this for a month or so and then you will notice your hair no longer becomes greasy as quick as it used too. Try and use a dry shampoo in between washes to freshen up the roots (Batiste), wear your hair up in a messy bun, wear a nice hat or french plait your hair. You should be washing your hair once or twice a week. I hope some of you do try this and please let me know if it has worked for you.

''You can't appreciate the good days without accepting the bad ones''.
Anonymous

This is so true. We all have those days where we don't feel too great and everything seems to go wrong. Our makeup doesn't look right, our hair doesn't look right, we can't decide what to wear, we're running late for everything, the kids are playing up etc. -  you get my drift. But without these days we wouldn't appreciate the best days of our lives, the days when everything just goes right and you feel on top of the world ready for anything. Life's a journey full of mountains. We have our ups and our downs. We are either sat the peak of the mountain and succeeded, or at the very bottom with no clue how to get to the top, but we always end back up there. So don't let a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life. Don't spend hours thinking about how bad your life is and beating yourself up about it. It's normal to have these days, so except you're just having a bad day and remember that tomorrow is never too far away.  Happy Sunday xx

Positive Thought for the Day

“Get going. Move forward. Aim High. Plan a take-off. Don't just sit on the runway and hope someone will come along and push the airplane. It simply won't happen. Change your attitude and gain some altitude. Believe me, you'll love it up here.”
― Donald Trump
